Lard Soap - Bar
Our soap is a gentle soap made using lard as the main fat. Lard is rich in vitamins like D and E and adds hardness to a bar making the bar last much longer. Our soaps also include olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, and caster oil.
Our soaps are only scented using essential oils and colored using natural colorants like clays or botanical infused olive oil using indigo, Himalayan rhubarb, annatto, or dandelion greens. We do not use artificial fragrances or dyes in our soap.
Essential oils lend themselves to a mild and wonderfully smelling soap. I follow the proper usage rates of essential oils as set forth by the International Fragrance Association meaning some scents will smell lighter or stronger based on how much is recommended by this association.
Each bar will weigh between 4-4.5 oz.

Lavender Forest - This bar primarily smells of lavender with the supporting acts of some woodsy/earthy scents. Lard, Alkanet infused Olive oil, Castor Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye), Brazilian Purple clay, and Essential Oils. It has notes of lavender, pine, and rosemary.
Mountain Woodland - This bar is a gentle walk through an evergreen forest. Lard, Olive oil, Castor Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye), French Green Clay, and Essential Oils It has notes of cedarwood, pine, fir needle, and patchouli.
Bright Blooms - Bright citrus hits your senses first and is followed by a gentle floral aroma, Lard, Olive oil, Castor Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye), Rose clay, and Essential Oils, It has notes of Litsea, geranium Egyptian, palmarosa.
Wildflower Fields - This bar is slightly bright with citrus but quickly followed by the floral scents and gently rounded out with the earthiness of cedarwood. Lard, Himalayan Rhubarb infused Olive oil, Castor Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye), Indigo, Brazilian purple clay, and Essential Oils. It has notes of lavender, ylang ylang, Litsea, and cedarwood.
Eucalyptus Chills - This bar of soap is a fresh bar with a mild menthol scent that is equally cooling with the secondary scents. Lard, Alkanet infused Olive oil, Castor Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye), Cambrian Blue clay, Indigo and Essential Oils. It has notes of cucalyptus, rosemary, and peppermint.
Sophisticated Outdoorsman - This is an amazing smelling bar of soap! Your senses are first embraced with a warm and earthy aroma and then they are mellowed by the secondary earthy floral scents. Lard, Olive oil, Castor Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye), Rhassoul clay, and Essential Oils. It has notes of lavender, cedarwood, clove, and vetiver.
Citrus Meadows - This bar is very citrusy with a slight floral to round it out. Lard, Annatto infused Olive oil, Castor Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye), Rose clay, madder root, and Essential Oils. It has notes of litsea, lemongrass, grapefruit, and plamarosa
Each bar of soap is simply wrapped with a label allowing you to see the color and smell the soap as soon as you open your box. Each bar will weigh between 4-4.5 oz. Soap will continue to weigh less over time due to the natural process of water evaporation out of the soap. This is a natural process that leads to a harder and longer lasting bar. Each handmade small batch of soap is made by me, cut by me, and packaged by me. While i do my best to be as consistent as possible each bar will be different form the next .
Our lard soap is made with the lard from our kunekune pigs. Our pigs are raised on pasture, rotating to new paddocks, and fed organic feed from day one. We do on farm butchering providing a seemingly stress free death for our pigs and allowing us to utilize the entire pig.
